Meet Anna Broome

I believe every family has a story worth telling.
Some are filled with joy. Others are marked by hardship, sacrifice, faith, and resilience. But every story has the power to shape how we understand ourselves and the generations that follow.
That belief began with my own family.
As the daughter of a Greek immigrant, I grew up hearing pieces of my father’s remarkable journey from a tiny village in Crete to the United States in pursuit of a better life. Years later, I began interviewing my parents to preserve those memories before they were lost. What started as a personal project became something much bigger.
Those conversations inspired The Hope Series, beginning with Hope Is My Anchor and continuing with A Light of Hope, which tells the story of my grandmother, Sapphira, and the quiet strength that carried her family through war, loss, and unimaginable hardship.
Today, my mission extends beyond writing novels.
Through Hope Story Academy, I help others preserve their own family histories by teaching simple ways to ask meaningful questions, record memories, and create a legacy that future generations will treasure.
Whether through my books, speaking engagements, or online courses, my hope is always the same:
To help people discover that understanding where we come from can change where we’re going.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband of twenty-six years, our three sons, traveling to Greece, serving in ministry, or enjoying a good cup of coffee while dreaming about the next story waiting to be told.
